Centralized Services Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a full time employee as a Centralized Services Engineer, who will work as a part of our Internal Engineering Group.

In your role, you will be responsible for assisting us with analyzing and implementing new technologies and systems to enhance the efficiency of our internal systems and to improve our client experience. You will additionally be responsible for proposing and implementing general recommendations for all components of our internal tool stack.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, thorough, have strong collaboration, communication and documentation skills. You should have experience and be comfortable working both independently as well as part of a technical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of internally focused systems along with documentation

  • Assistance with conducting analysis of new technologies and recommendations for internal tool stack development

  • Fleet management through our RMM tool

    • Agent Maintenance & Deployment

    • Automation - Scripting and Component Creation

    • Patch Management Policy Refinement

    • Report Development

    • Administration of Endpoint Detection and Response Platform

  • Administration of Managed Backup Platforms

  • Administration of Client Experience Platform

  • Maintenance of vendor API integrations throughout the internal tech stack

  • Directory management (Active Directory & Azure AD)

  • Endpoint policy management (Group Policy & Intune)

  • Microsoft Azure tenant management

  • Microsoft Office 365 tenant management

  • Security toolset management (EDR and MDR)

  • Providing assistance to the service team as required on relevant areas of experience

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Incredible sense of pride and passion for what you do and a desire to help your teammates

  • 5+ Years in the IT Field, MSP experience preferred

  • BA or relevant certifications and working experience

  • Experience working as part of a team

  • Experience using an issue or ticket tracking system and RMM tools

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly

  • Ability to work through issues methodically

  • Ability & willingness to properly document processes and code

  • Ability to work independently

  • Great project management skills

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles, previous exposure to security frameworks is preferred

  • Experience working with the Datto family of products (Autotask PSA, RMM & Backup)

  • Experience managing Windows desktop and server operating systems environments

  • Experience and knowledge required to manage an Azure tenant

  • Experience and knowledge required to manage a Hyper-V environment

  • Experience with management of networking (Cisco Meraki is preferred)

  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or JavaScript

Job Type: Full-time:

Salary: $70,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year commensurate with experience

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
